I'm just about to take on the lease for a 3 acre walled garden in the South Hams. The site is owned by a charitable trust which is responsible for the upkeep of the buildings but it has declared the 2 remaining victorian glasshouses as redundant buildings so I am responsible for their maintenance. Both are in need of work, one much more so than the other. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to get hold of any funding to help restore them, apart from the Heritage Lottery Fund?
Any advice on what to look for/pitfalls to avoid/suppliers/willing volunteers/any other useful information will be gratefully received.
