Message:   Original 4” Cast Iron Victorian Pipes and boiler from Victorian greenhouse for sale

These magnificent architectural pipes were used as the heating system in the 30 foot original Foster&Pearson greenhouse which we have just restored. There is over 100 feet of cast iron 4 inch diameter pipes, along with various U-bends for the ends, as well as around 10 feet of 2 inch pipes. All sound - surface rust only. Will come up nicely with a wire brush and some Hammerite, or sand blast and powder coat depending on your needs. The original Foster and Pearson cast iron “Robin Hood” boiler is also included – it has a small crack in the casing which is why we did not use it. I can also give you a Potterton oil boiler that fits inside the cast iron casing if interested for no extra cost.

I can get £80 for the pipes as clean cast scrap, but it would be SUCH a pity to scrap them. I would be happy to take £70 for them. It would make us so happy to see them put to good use. Somebody out there must be searching high and low for such pipes to restore their period home or greenhouse.

The big 4 inch pipes are composed of two pairs of 12 foot pipes joined by U-bends at one end (ie four 12 foot pipes in all) another 12 foot pipe by itself, and two pairs of 8 foot pipes as well as one 4 foot pipe. Various end pieces and flanges are there too.

These pipes are REALLY heavy - collection only for obvious reasons. And when you do collect, bring some muscle and a decent sized trailer – remember the double 12 foot pipes are about 13 foot long with the U-bend. We are located around 20 miles north of Nottingham.

I have to stop there – I hear the pipes calling.
