At the Dartmoor run on Sunday I mentioned to a number of members who attended some marvellous chemical for destroying rust. I will do a fuller article for the club magazine but for now here are some brief details of how to obtain. Its called Hydrate 80 and it can be obtained by calling 01277 658899 or via email at sales@bilthamber.com. The beauty of Hydrate 80 is that it can be painted on rust after the flaky bits have been removed and after a second coat it can be painted over as you would normal metal. It converts the rust to metal and in my experience no rust re-appears. Cost is £12.95 + £1.95 for 500ml 0r £22 + £2.95 for 1 litre. Good luck and happy rust destruction.
