Opening an Account
I'm a young investor about to turn 18. Should I open a custodial account or should I open a regular account? |

Thanks for the post. Since you're not 18 yet, you would have to open a custodial account. But once you turn 18, it's relatively easy to get your account switched from a custodial account to a regular account. Just call the company and they'll usually give you a form to fill out. If your 18th b-day is just a couple weeks away, I would just hold off and open a regular account. Saves you a bit of paperwork. Thanks, Chris Stallman President/Founder TeenAnalyst.com, LLC |
