When I first heard about the Tall Ships coming to Crescent City, I immediately went onto the website the radio station and newspaper gave, and booked with my credit card, 3 "Battle Sails" for Sunday, 5-6-07. We receieved a confirmation number on january 30th, in an e-mail from : chera@historicalseaport.org and out credit crad was charged the $170.00 on February 9th, so we figued we had it all under control, right? WRONG!!!!!
When we got there, we found out the Pilar from the C.C. Chamber of Commerce had, AFTER WE ALREADY HAD OUR TICKETS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR chartered thge whole ship, and unless you had gotten your tickets through the Chamber, you were NOT getting on the Battlke sail !! Not only that, Pilar was condescending, rude, unprofessional, and downright nasty about it, and didn't give a **** that we had our tickets first, and when IU asked how she could buy something that we already owned she got downright rude. I wasn't the only one this happened to, the guys right behind me, that had also reserved his spot through the approved website, was rudely turned away by Pilar and the ships crew, and was heard to say "this is the last time I ever come to this sh*thole town"... good job, Crescent City Chamber of Commerce, doin' a FINE job of attracting folks to our town...
If anyone else had this happen to them, and they read this, I have contacted an attorney already, and will be proceeding with a lawsuit against not only the Tall Ships Corporation, but the C.C. Chamber of Commerce, as well. If this happened to you, as well, please post here and we can possibly make a Class-Action lawsuit against these jerks and jerk-ettes. |
