I believe it is not whether or not the new sewer system is needed by the entire City, but why not get ahead of the curve and exceed the wastewater standards for the future of our City. What we have now is already not only at capacity but the wastewater going into the beautiful ocean is already not good. I think it is wise and preemptive, and a good use of todays dollars, instead of trying to do with what we have and then when it is too late and we have to play a serious game of catch-up, we will have to spend even more inflated dollars and therefore more of them to get the same job done. I know it is our decision and no one wants to pay more than they are right now, but unless we do we will not only hurt the ecology of our pristine area but we will not be fiscally responsible with our waste and therefore with our community. Please vote for the responsible direction for the City's sewer system. |
