You're wrong about redwood trees not creating fog. They do! When I lived a block from Eureka's zoo, where a sizeable and quite beautiful stand of old growth redwoods still exist, I often saw fog banks created by the trees, sometimes drifting out toward the ocean rather than the reverse. The trees can "sweat" hundreds of gallons of water every day, and when atmospheric conditions are favorable, they actually create fog. |
