The problem is all the people that grow marijuana commercially and then hide behind prop 215. The average Joe who benefits from the medicinal value of marijuana is not taken serious because he is surrounded by dirty, tattoo covered people that can’t keep a job or dress themselves, touting the wonders of marijuana. I believe in the medicinal value of marijuana. I also believe that it will never be main stream because the people making the most noise for legalization are not main stream people. They are usually people with a criminal background, low income, or the ones described above.
Have you tried to buy old school cough syrup lately? They don’t make it as good anymore because the main ingredient is used to make meth. We won't benefit from the old recipe until they stop exploiting it for meth. Same problem here, there are so many people growing commercially and throwing money around that society wont support it on a large scale. Marijuana needs to be less a cash crop and more a medicine with no exploitation in order to gain legitimacy. |
