Re: Faith books

What sort of book are you looking for? More of a reflective type? Or reference?

Re: Faith books

A good faith background book is The Word Made Flesh (An overview of the Catholic Faith)by Anthony Marinelli. Another good one is The Holy Longing by Ronald Rohlheiser. (IF either of these don't suit you, let me know & I can list off some more!)
There are so many out there that it really depends on which avenue of growth you're going for...Anyone else out there have some suggestions of books they've enjoyed?

Re: Faith books

A really good book that I came across is "In Search of Belief" by Joan Chittester. It's chapters are sectioned off on the Apostle's Creed. It goes through each phrase - asking why we say what we say - especially in turbulent times of the modern day. It's very interesting and engaging...especially if you have ever wondered: Do I really believe all that I am saying?

If you're looking for more of a scripture study, there's a book out there called "God's Word is Alive!" by Alice L. Camille. It has all 3 of the Sunday readings listed with background/reflection on each. Plus it has futher Reflection Questions and an Action Response. It's worth checking out.

Re: Faith books

Howdy! I like Faith books. Especially now that I encounter so many challenges in my life. I really need this to give me hope. And also prayer which is the most important.
