The World 300 @ Sportsdrome Speedway
Some of you might remember the race from the old Louisville Speedway....It will be run similar. Don't quote me on this....But here goes! lol You should qualify on friday and race your way into the 300 on friday. A last chance race will be run also. They are to start by your finishing position. The front row should be locked in by qualifying. They are trying to get some lap money together.(Anyone interesting in spending about $10 per lap can sponsor this race) So if you were to lead all 300 laps it could be a very nice bonus! LMS paid $10,000 to win. Sporstdrome is trying to get sponsors together to do the same.... I have been told that YOUR track rules will apply... You must run OUR tire. $76 each. You must run 7 or 8 inch wheels. All other rules will just be safety type rules. This race was the best race we had back then and Sportsdrome wants to get it back going again. Cars from ALL other track are welcome. As long as they are the equal to street stock type cars. Bomber cars, thunder car, sportsman cars and extreme type cars. This will be awesome if we get 50 or more cars. LMS had around 70 cars showing up for this event! If all goes well....$10,000 to win and $100 to start....This will go over as one of the greatest races run at the Sportsdrome. Mike Gibson is trying to work with guys like Joel to try and promote these cars where it can benefit all areas. The idea is for you guys to come here and us to go to your home track! Imagine 30 Street Stock Figure 8 cars at the Speedrome for the Snowball 100, the 1/2 hour enduros, Beechbend runs 3 Twin 25's that pay $800 to win. This doesn't exclude the dirt cars that have always wanted to run figure 8 either! Bring em' on.....It will be a great event!
