Message:   I wish there was something that I could say that would make you feel better or be helpful. Unfortunately, this horrible experience is just something that you are going to have to come to terms with in your way and your own time. I am speaking as a (mental health) therapist, as well as someone who has had a miscarriage (at 9 weeks) and also lost an infant baby boy (Feb. 07) due to HELLP syndrome. It's an unbelievable pain that no one can truly understand unless you go through it. Unfortunately everyone either tries to overcompensate for the loss which is not helpful, or try to avoid coming to terms with the loss, which also is not helpful. I have to think that your family that you were talking about were coming from a good place. It must've been scary for you to be pregnant so early in life, and looking at it from a parent's perspective they were probably worried that you were going to miss out on many opportunities due to the great responsibility of a sweet baby. At least I hope that's where they were coming from. Feel free to e-mail me if you need to/ want to chat. Hope this helps.
