Subject:   Help nurses help the next mom who loses

Message:   I have been a Labor and Delivery nurse for 15 years and have worked with many women as they experienced a stillbirth loss. Does what we nurses do at the time of your loss help or hurt you, the grieving woman? We do things that feel right to help, but do they matter to the woman in suffering? Only women who have experienced a loss can provide insight and guidance into the care we provide.

Would you be willing to assist me in gathering information on the interventions that occurred in the hospital at the time of your loss and how they impact your grief? I am trying to reach women have experienced a stillbirth in the last 2 years to help provide guidance for us as we care for women who have suffered a stillbirth.

If you are able, the survey is online and will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. It can be found at:

Thanks so much,
Peggy
