Digbeth Revamp - An oppotunety lost ?
Just seen the reports on the bbc website about Digbeth coach station being shutdown for a revamp. NOT BEFORE TIME, the flagship station of the National Express empire and about 20 years behind the times when it comes to driver and passenger facilaties. Have NE lost the chance to move it to a more sensible location. Surely a staion outside of the city centre would have been better for interchange purposes and then shuttle buses running into town for people wanting to go into Brum. Now as every before and in the future 20-30 coaches an hours have to go into and out of birmingham city centre on route to other destinations. Obviously services that begin/terminated there thats ok but then again how many actually do that, not many Regards Fatboy |
