I have a handwritten note referring to James Appleton a merchant of Liverpool, he lived and died in the 16th century. His wife was called Sarah who died in Smedley Oct 17th 1781 aged 60, they had a son Thomas who died Aug 31st 1763 aged 14, a son William who died Nov 1st 1769 aged 26 and another son Daniel who died Sept 1784 aged 45. The note states James died before Sarah. Any help with linking these to other Appletons would be appreciated.
