One of my Rellies Jonathan Wade was a Stonemason and Publican in the 1871 census - living at The Crown Inn Appleton, or Appletow (cant quite make it out) Civil Parish: Widnes
Ecclesiastical parish: Farnworth St Luke, Ref RG10/3857 Folio: 112 Page: 8

Does anyone know if it still exists today - or have any photos?

Hello Jan, Yes the Crown Inn is still there and is still quite a popular pub. And it is definitely Appleton. Sue.
