For anyone else's reference, it was a matter of going into the crdlive.config file in the CRD folder and removing the value for "ConString" (not the whole entry... just whatever was between the Value tags).
Program worked fine after that (re-established a connection upon opening CRD, it wanted to create a new user (cancelled out of that), restarted program one more time and everything came up just fine).
