Do you need crystal reports to deploy Crystal reports distributor

I have downloaded 30-day free trial crystal report distributor. One question, does Crsytal Reports Distributor 3.0 need Crystal Reports 9 to run?

No, you don't need Crystal installed on the PC you run CRD on. CRD will run reports that were written in verions 7.5 through 9.
