Re: Re: Interested in seeing Photos takes at Rolling Thunder's Washington DC ??

Hey everybody!

What a weekend! I am so sunburned I look like an over ripe summer
tomato.
We had such a good time! The weather was perfect for the Rolling Thunder
parade in DC.
This year there were over 4,000 motorcycles from all over the US that
participated in the memorial trek from the Pentagon parking lot to the Viet
Nam wall. It looked like an ocean of motorcycles and when they moved it was
like ten mile long 'wave' rolling down the road. My ears roared with the
many engines, the sound of thunder lasted for several hours afterward.
Ray and I were both proud to be participating in the event. This was his
first trip to the wall and it was both and emotional and humbling experience
for him.
People were lined up and down the streets of DC cheering us on, waving flags
and many had signs, banners and pictures with them of loved ones they had
lost.
Our thoughts were with our son, Jeff, who is pulling his second tour in
Iraq. He is never far from our thoughts.

I took some pictures with my camera phone. Will be glad to email them to you.

Anyone know of other professional photographers that shot the ride? Hogpics.com was going to but had something come up.

Jim, nice shots!

I'm not a pro but did take a ton of pics. I should have them back Saturday and I'll post them on the web. If there is an email address I can send them to for you guys to post here I can do that. I have one set up now and the others will go there too.

My partner and I shot a documentary on Rolling Thunder this year. I used a helmet camera (Thundercam) during the ride while Mark shot from the bridge. We will be releasing it on July 4th. I'm working on it right now- Stay tuned!
