VETERANS CARE

Congress has learned that the Department of Veterans Affairs
has a budget shortfall of $1 billion. The House Veterans
Affairs' Committee has also uncovered key weaknesses in the
process used by the Department of Veterans Affairs to forecast
healthcare demand and shape budgets.

Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), member of the Senate Committee on
Veterans' Affairs, and Congressman Steve Buyer (R-IN), chairman
of the House Veterans Affairs’ Committee, are calling for
immediate action to pay for veterans' healthcare. Senator
Murray and Congressman Buyer join us to discuss the importance
of a prompt and adequate solution to this critical problem.
