when is LA-120 up to market?

I almost buy a LA-100, while I found it can't be used as a pre-amp from this forum before I paid.

I am wonderring when LA-120 is available for sale.
I hope it can do USB-24-96, pre-amp, and I hope the USB calbe and power supply cable can be changed to more decent ones. They effect the sound quality greatly.

LA-120 will be in the market from July. We are introducing it now on the High end Show in Munich.
Here you can see it, hear it. The response from our dealers is very good, because we have adapted 96/24, Variable line out (for pre amp use), and you can also get a remote control.

When will the LA-120 available in Australia. I almost bought a LA-100, now I will wait for the LA-120. Is it more expensive than LA-100?

What are the main new features and improvements of LA-120 comparing to LA-100?

Apart from those new functions, my main concern is if the sound changed, do they SOUND the same?

The LA120 has been introduced to our distrubutors and delivery will be from end june/july. We are very excited about it and will make a press release very soon.

We did not change the sound!. The DAC, analog circuits, power supply , S/R converter , Reference clock are all the same! We changed the USB chip, and added more power to the Head Phone amp. Also we made the DAC modular, so USB is a module that can be upgrade.

Thanks for the information updated.

One more suggestion, I wish the power cable can be upgrade to a better sounding one.

I find the cables include USB, coaxial, power cable, greatly effect the sound quality. So it is not just the DAC itself. A low quality cable will ruin a good machine.

I agree. The accesories we deliver are ok standard, but you should upgrade at your dealer. If we were to deliver the best cables then price would be very high. We will deliver 3 models and we offer both an upgraded power supply ,and a clean power version, that is running on lithium rechargeable battery. So here is no interference from the mains power!

Hi Søren,
I almost buy a LA-100, too.
Good to see the 96/24 update. But I am curious about the USB chip change. Which USB chip do you use on LA-120?
From what I know, LA-100 uses TI usb solution(tas1020b ?). I hope you didn't change it to Tenor TE7022L.
BTW, Could I expect to see LA-100 on the market before mid July?

We use the Tenor 7022 for 96/24 on a module for easy upgrade. 192/24 requires drivers,licences and is difficult for the user (you). Some DAC's has 2 USB inputs due to this fact.
We are starting delivery end july to dealers.

How does USB cable effect to audio? I can understand this for analog signal cables but for digital signal cable...?
