Geography of Mexico

Mexico is considered to be a vast nation because of its total area. Its total land area is 1,964,375 km² (approx. 758,446 mi²). Continental shelf of Mexico is approximately 419,102 km² (around 161,815 mi²). Mexico is located in North America. North America is found entirely in the Northern hemisphere and almost entirely in the Western hemisphere. North American countries include, but are not limited to, Canada, Mexico, and The United States. Mexico has 3 neighbouring countries. Its neighbours include Belize, Guatemala, United States. Mexico is not a landlocked country. It means that is is bordered by at least one major body of water. The average elevation range of Mexico is 1,111 m (3,645 ft).

Mexico shares its land borders with 3 different countries, and has the same number of unique land boundaries to neigbouring territories.
