Elvenwork Forum

This forum has been a way to provide a public exchange of questions and answers for polymer clay sculptors. But, as I said in my final post, there comes a time when all things must end. That doesn't mean the forum used as an archive has nothing to offer. Indeed it is still loaded with questions and answers that remain relevant and which are searchable! For that reason, I'm keeping it available, though no new posts can be added. If after searching the forum your question isn't addressed, Join me on Facebook.com to ask it. As always, you'll find me there as Katherine Dewey. Hope to see you there. --  Katherine

Problems/Solutions with the new forum software.

Hey all, just wanted to put this thread up for problems/issues you might have with the new forum software.

1) The forum has shrunken to be about half my screen width, (instead of the 3/4th or more it was earlier) and as a result, in Board Style, the reply button is missing from all the posts, however, if you switch to Threaded style, they will show up (not sure why).

2) Posting images has changed. You now use bb code to post images, which is probably much more familiar (it appears to be case sensitive on this board though, only all lower case).

Code:
<img src="" />

With your images URL in between the img tags. You can also post urls now by using
Code:
<a href="" target="_blank"></a>

There are also code tags that are exactly the same as img and url tags except the word in the box should be code. That will allow you to show exactly how the tags should look like I did above. It will also preserve formatting and spaces for things that need them (and is the reason they are called code tags as they are generally used to display source code).

Re: Problems/Solutions with the new forum software.

The issue with the Quote/Reply buttons being missing is due to the images in the posts pushing them off the screen since the box holding the images doesn't resize the template for the fora.

Re: Problems/Solutions with the new forum software.

The quote and reply buttons are now visible, though you may have to scroll to the right to see them.
It was not the images pushing them aside, but screen width dimensions. Little Gnome has corrected for this.
