The following items were discussed and consensus was obtain by the 4 Stakeholders

Black Flag Rules Enforcement

It is agreed by all Stakeholders, that under no circumstance will any black flag be cleared unless we have definitive proof that it was a glitch in the game. The Rules page will need to be updated to reflect this change. Ultimately the admin that night will make the final decision. If the admin does not want to make the call then it the black flag stands. Unless, the administrator that of that race makes a request of a stakeholder in the race at that time.

Yellow Flag usage during a restart

If at any point prior to a restart during a caution the administrator can throw the yellow flag to extend this period to sort out any issues with restart positions. If the admin hears discussion of incorrect positioning of drivers then a yellow flag must be thrown to avoid any potential black flag violations. Also if the drivers are talking during this period and the admin can not understand what is happening then the caution period will be extended and the admin will announce that the race will not go green until the chatter has stopped and the correct positions have been established.

Testing of the 358 Dirt Late Model series and race format change

Testing of this MOD will begin this Wednesday night and continue no less than 2 weeks. It could be extended to the full off season period. Also the race format will be Practice from 7:00 PM EST – 8:30 PM EST The race length will be shorter yet to be determined. This increase of practice time will allow all members to test and vote on this possible change. Only Mod 358 tracks will be used for this mod.

Changes to provisional points

The provisional points will be changed from 15 to 17 for this upcoming season, after Season Two the Stakeholders will revisit the provisional point system format and make any changes deemed needed by the Stakeholders.

Changes to Sunday Morning races
This series will not be run weekly, but will be run as a special event series. The race time will be as originally established. The race will be full length and scheduled as not to conflict with NASCAR’s televised series. The determination of dates is still to be established. The league wants to schedule these early Sunday morning races so as to align with Nascar’s Saturday night Sprint cup races.

Friday night changes to the rules

The “OPEN” server Friday night race will follow all the same rules as all other races at ASRacingN2K3. There will not be any deviation from the rules already in place. This is being changed to allow continuity for all our existing and future members in the area of rules enforcement.

Open server during off season
We as Stakeholders have agreed to open the server for the minimum of 2 weeks during the off season. This open server concept can be extended or reduced during the off season only.

Voting forums

The voting forums will be used provide feedback for the stakeholders for any changes proposed or existing recommendations of a series, rule or concept.. A time frame can be established by the stakeholders’ for the purpose of expediting the decision process. At no time can a decision be made unless all the stakeholders have achieved a consensus on any changes. The main page will need to be updated to provide our member notification of forum items.

The addition of an overall champion to ASRacingN2K3

This concept of an overall champion will be used in Season 2. Format will be take the drivers points from each series and add them ALL together to get a total. The most points wins. Back up drivers can be used, but if the Stakeholder’s identify an abuse of this privilege. Then in the best interest of the League and to provide an importance to this status, points will be deducted from the driver abusing this privilege. This will be done at the discretion of the Stakeholders.

Track schedule and approval process

All tracks and race schedules must be approved by the stakeholders, members can submit suggestions but the final decision falls on the Stakeholders. If at all possible the League wants to use only tracks that currently have EXPERT setups.

Drop 2 Format
This format will not be used again in this league, reason being the complexity of weekly calculations, lack of providing an easy member review on the main page. Also this format does not promote member attendance.

Lessons learn this season
Smaller changes to rules and formats provide our members more consistency in the league.
All changes must meet the approval and consensus of the Stakeholders’ prior to implementation.
Discussions with members about any changes must be prefaced as “WE ARE CURRENTLY IN DISCUSSION AND NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE”, unless; a change has gone through the approval process.
Rule enforcement must be consistent in all Series.
