Well the regular seasons are over now in both the Midwest Football League and the other league the ifl. It has been a very interesting season to say the least, the patriots not having the #1 seed for the first time in a few years having some new teams become a part of the league and developing into solid organizations the MFL leadership under Earl has worked very hard at new team developement and it is showing and is paying off maybe the ifl can learn from them on this that new teams need help in getting on their feet, and the ifl now showing signs of becoming the #2 league in the state. We have seen exciting football all season and had many other surprising things alone the way as well, we had pylon peeing in the MFL and coaches peeing in the IFL or at least thats the explanation that was feed to the league but I think we all know the real story on that since it doesn't take half the coaching staff to assist someone with peeing or maybe it does the ifl hasn't spoken yet on that one. If I remember right the Mustangs had a port-a-pot on the visitors sideline maybe this is something that all home teams should consider providing just in case a team does have players or coaches with a bladder problem. I hope that this is not something that will be blown off and is something that the league handles properly there is no room for what happened and there is absolutely no explaination for shoving a female.
Good luck to all team this year in the playoffs may you all have fun and exciting games and may you all stay injury free. Fans if you have a chance get out and watch some of these games it is fun and exciting and something that the whole family can enjoy without spending a fortune!
so its known about how good both leagues are. the bearcats are your best team and wouldnt finish top 5 in the ifl.
Can we please not get back on this stuff. Look the Pirates,Cardnials and Bearcats will be in the IFL next year so all the BS can stop until then!
why would they want to jump to the IFL when it is clear that the leadership is not what is was under Troy Edwards and you have one team dictating what the leagues does and does not do. One team being a bully and runing the board room and the league for that matter
I think the mfl has 2 more weeks left
The Bearcats have to travel to play the Wolverines next weekend due to the rained out game earlier in the season. The rest of the MFL has the weekend off. Then we will have two more weeks remaining until the playoff begins.
As far as us moving into the IFL. It is a bit too early to worry about that. We will look at all options in the offseason including staying in the MFL.
not trying to stir the pot at all but we the cardinals have struggled this season in the mfl. but have beaten the wolfpack and shamrock, both respectable ifl teams. id say with the exception of a couple of the top teams any team could beat each other reguardless of what league they are in
I'd like to address three things:
1) The Bearcats are a great organization lead under Mr. Neumenn and Mr Tieken. There is no doubt they would be just as competitive in the IFL as they are in the MFL. Teams across the board have stepped up this year in the MFL and its going to be wild ride finishing the season and into the playoffs. And yes, we have 2 more regular season games as the there are many ways the playoff picture can still be painted.
2) Right now is not the proper time to discuss any moves by any team. The Madison Co Pirates are a part of the MFL for the 2009 season and things will remain this way for the duration of the season. After the season, as we did last year, we will evaluate our team and look into all options on the table moving forward into the 2010 season.
3) Just like people feel that the IFL has had some issues, it is the same here in the MFL, however, the middle or tail end of the season is not time bring up these issues and air out the dirty laundry in public.
