Semi-Professional Football history will be made on the night of Saturday, June 5th at Central Stadium in Evansville, Indiana.
The Ohio River Bearcats, Evansville’s Semi-Professional Football Team, are pleased to announce that we are partnering to help the Greater Evansville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen to tackle Breast Cancer. The Bearcats will be giving up our normal “Home” jerseys to wear a special “Pink” jersey to mark the occasion in order to promote awareness and to raise money to tackle Breast Cancer during the game. We will donate $1 from every ticket sold at the gate to the Greater Evansville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. Additionally, we will sell a commemorative pink shirt to our fans in attendance in order to mark this special event.
The night of the 5th marks the Bearcats Great Midwest Football League home season opener, and will be the first time that the Bearcats have played in Evansville since winning the Midwest Football League Championship in October of 2009. Evansville’s own, the Boom Squad, has signed on for the game’s halftime show. All tickets are General Admission at $5 each. Kids 12 and under with an adult and all active military members with valid identification will be admitted for free. 2010 Season Passes for all 5 regular season home games will be available for $20 at the gate.
If you or your business would like to sponsor a Pink Jersey for the game, the form can be downloaded on our website below. The cost for this program is $100. The name of the business or person will be listed on the back of the jersey worn by an actual Bearcats player for the game on June 5th. During the entire game, that player will be tied to your business or individual via the program and when that player makes a play called out by the Bearcats public address announcer. All money raised in this program outside of the cost with the jersey will be donated back to the Evansville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. Additionally, jersey sponsors will have the option of keeping their game worn jersey after the game or donating it to the player who wore it.
The Ohio River Bearcats are the 2009 Midwest Football League Champions and American Football News 2A National Champion Runner Up. We are heading into our 3rd season of existence and have joined the Great Midwest Football League. The Bearcat’s mission is to provide the Tri-State area with a superior “Hometown” Semi-Pro Football Club! The Bearcats are a not-for-profit organization that supplies top-quality, family entertainment to the greater Evansville metropolitan area. We provide many local young men and women a positive opportunity to continue their football careers and associations with a local semi-pro football team.
