Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

Good Morning, SupaNation!

What an exciting weekend before us. There are so many great games of great import that it's hard for me to even get my head around. More than anything, it's clear to me that there is some really top rate football going on in our region- something to be proud of. But let's not spend too much time patting ourselves on the back- let's call some football games!

Clarksville Wolfpack (7-3) @ Indianapolis Tornados (8-0)

The Wolfpack are for real and bring with them a solid defense. The Tornados still haven't hit their stride fully, but will have more than enough for the visiting Pack.

Tornados 22
Wolfpack 16

Naptown Scorpions (6-3) @ Columbus Gladiators (8-0-1)

Looks like the end of the line for the Scorps who have outperformed everyone's expectations but their own. They're running into one of the most mediocre undefeated teams in the nation, which will make it all the more frustrating to come home without a W.

Gladiators 31
Scorpions 20

West Central Wildcats (8-0) @ Indiana Cutters (8-1)

The Cutters' big rebound in 2011 has been the season's feel good story of the IFL. A once-proud organization is again playing great football and at home could really handle most teams in the league. The story here, though, is the Wildcats. How good are the WCW? Even at home, the second best team in the league does not have a prayer.

Wildcats 34
Cutters 10

Indiana Hitmen (5-3) @ Kosciusco County Mustangs (4-5)

An exciting rematch for the Mustangs to prove that they are still a competitive club. The Hitmen have played up and down football this season in a league with no one threatening up north. The Mustangs will even the series on the strength of a strong first half.

Mustangs 23
Hitmen 20

Miami County Blitz (1-1-3) @ Ohio Crush (3-4)

Though Brian Raber's squads have always been largely defense first, this season marks an offensive low point for the Blitz who have the worst offense in a league with very bad defenses. In other years, the Blitz may not yet have scored a touchdown. The Crush, on the other hand have rolled up the points. Look for fireworks in this one as the Crush defense will outscore the Blitz offense.

Crush 44
Blitz 0

Midwest Force (6-0) @ Tri County Raiders (1-5)

Two teams heading in opposite directions here. The Force are surging and the TCR had their best moment of the season in week one. The Raiders, in spite of playing host, are the league's worst defense and will be helpless to stop the Force onslaught.

Force 48
Raiders 9

Indiana Cardinals (5-1) @ Mad River Stallions (4-1)

The Stallions are a sleeper pick for the CRFL crown- and who'd have imagined? The Cardinals continue to make up for a mid-season slip up and have their sights set both divisional and league titles. Both teams can't get what they want, though, and the Stallions will enjoy a major coming out party with this win. Everyone now will know their name (not least the Force). Stay tuned!

Stallions 22
Cardinals 20

Indy Renegades (4-2) @ Miami County Vipers (2-5)

Though the offense has shown moments of brilliance (in a pretty weak defensive league) the Renegades have still not found their feet in 2011. Expectations were high, but the team has not met them, and very likely will not this season. The Vipers' defense is horrible, though, and the Renegades have more to play for.

Renegades 30
Vipers 20

Delaware County Revolution (3-3) @ Michiana Warriors (2-1-3)

The Warrior Nation had a clear question for us all last weekend "Can You Hear Me Now?" Yes, we can. It turns out that there is some tough football being played in Michiana on the most unlikely of teams, but last week's win ended all doubt. The Revolution have been very consistent in their mediocrity. That's no insult- they've been hanging in. The long trip will doom the consistent visitors, though and the Warrior party lasts at least another week.

Warriors 27
Revolution 22

Indiana Generals (6-0) @ Roscoe Rush (6-0)

One thing's for sure, the Generals found themselves in a much, much more competitive league in 2011. The Baffling thing is that their margins of victory seem to have gotten bigger. The Generals' offense and special teams are not yet where they want them to be and this weekend is an important test for both units. The Rush are very good, but nowhere near as good as the Generals.

Generals 34
Rush 16

Chicago Thunder (4-1) @ Lake County Steelers (1-4)

It's hard to think of another organization over the course of the last nearly ten years with more chronic hard luck than the Steelers. It looked early like the team might have gotten over the hump in 2011 but it's clear now that it is not to be. The Thunder are plowing along like nothing's changed, though it's clear to everyone that they are no longer top dog in the MSFL. They're plenty good enough to demolish this weekend's opponent, though.

Thunder 33
Steelers 10

North Coast Vikings (9-1) @ Lima Warriors (10-0)

Yet another year when the Warriors head into September undefeated. The Warriors have now sealed their status as the region's team of the decade. No team in the Midwest has been better for longer than the Warriors. Their are signs, though, that they may not get the trophy this year to add to the (already crowded) mantle. The Vikings come to town having played very tough football- in particular on the road. The Warriors survive to play in another title game, but get the scare of their lives in the first half.

Warriors 24
Vikings 22

***************************HIGH SCHOOL EDITION*****************************

Monroe Central Golden Bears @ Union City Indians

Beef Maloy is on the precipice of something very special in Union City. For the first time in his lifetime, the Indians have a chance to be a real contender. The Indians came out swinging last week and looked stronger than anticipated. Though Beef's squad has had to replace some key skill positions, the sophomores thrust into the limelight two years ago have now begun paying dividends. Beef's even got his first second-generation contributor in a young man named Bocanegra whose Dad played tough for Beef nearly 10 years ago now. The Indians have a legitimate shot and winning the conference, and Beef knows it. The team will begin 2-0 because they host a undermanned and underprepared MCHS team that barely escaped the hopeless Edinburgh team last week. Beef's boys enjoy another big win and look excitedly toward the future.

Indians 33
Bears 12

I sure can't wait to read all the scores and details- so go out and make some memories. Leave it all on the field and make sure that no matter what you make your mommas proud!

HFL North conference championship:

Lima Warriors 34
North coast Vikings 6

Corey Minnfield throws three touchdown passes to Ladonn Coleman, Travis Lewis and Bobby Huttis. Toledo Mitchell and Mike Macklin add scores on the ground. Dante Barnes and Jordan Marshall add interceptions. With the win Lima breaks their team record for consecutive wins with 20. Lima wins their fifth conference title and improves their record to 14-0. The opponent in the HFL championship will be the Ohio Eagles. Perry HS in Cleveland is the game site. Game will take place on Sept. 10th.

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

LW you are an idiot. Pretty sure this loss by the Generals doesnt mean a thing. Didnt the LW lose 3 games in a year and still go to Nationals? And didnt the Rush lose last year in the regular season and still go? Just worry about winning the HFL, and the Generals will do the same with the MSFL. Do you guys in LW do anything but talk shit?

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

Ohio is the dumpster of America... What do you think Mr. Yep?

Go Blue!

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

You all know that birds fly upside down when flying over Ohio don't you??
The reason is there isn't anything or anyone worth sh*#ting on in Ohio.
The Generals lost,, got beat on a night when the other team played better.
The sun still came up on Sunday morning and I can still smile.
If you are in football at this level the way I look at it is there are no winners and losers because anytime I step on the field with the Generals I feel I have won because, I love this game, and I respect this game, and being able to be a part of it. I enjoy the fact that there are fans who love and respect the game and we can give them an evening of football on Saturday nights that allows them some escape from the hectic world we live in.
Sorry Supa for the mild hijack of the thread but I get irritated at those who always have to talk trash and run down other organizations.
In this day and age it takes so much time and effort to even have a team it is sad when people try to disgrace any organization or team.
We all need to give praise each week and stop worrying about who is playing who.
Just my opinion I'm sure there are some who agree with me.
There sometimes are things in life more important than yourself oryour team, I didn't travel with the Generals this past Saturday and it really hurt to listen the the game on the radio and not bethere but I got to see my grandson play in his first game and I got to him get his first QB sack. I'll treasure that memory for the rest of my life.

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

How is your player doing with the broken leg. I was at the game watching my former team when he got hurt and it looked pretty bad. Prayers to him and his family and for a speedy recovery.

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

Do we do anything but talk crap? Last I checked we WIN and WIN a lot. 20 in a row to be exact. I hope you guys do win it all and do play us. It will be a good time.

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

Coach Allen,

He had surgery that night, It was a spiral frature on his leg. I do believe he will be released today. He's been texting all of us and posting on FB, so he's been in high spirit about things and can't wait to join us on the sideline. He's truly a good guy and the definition of what a semi-pro football players attitude should be like.

Thanks for the concerns and glad you got to watch us play Saturday night!

Listen lw, not sure who you are but please cool it.

We have been very fortunate to have the success we have had over the past 11 years. Please let other teams do them and we will do us. We have one more tough game to get back to Florida. And if you do a little research you would know that our league winner will play the DMV Knights from the ECFL. Nothing more to see here, good luck all on your respective seasons.

It is good to see that everyone in Ohio isn't classless. Props to you Mr. Jones for repping your team, city, and state with class. I have a little more respect for your organization since guys like you are on their team. Good luck in your league and against the Knights.

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

Its taken us a long time to get where we are now. And many of those seasons ended with a loss. I know we all like to pull for our respective teams but at the end of the game.....and it is just that, a game, we are all part of a unique fraternity. Hopefully I get to add another ring to the collection in just under two weeks.

good game well nice got along better in 2nd half but the game was a lot closer then the score indicated then the refs starting chuckin flags and seeing everything the home team did... couple questionable "reversed calls" the vipers played a hellofa game and stuckin wit one of the better teams in the gades good luck to both teams for the remainder of the season i watched the vipers play and they've came a very long way and now if the officials would call the games like they should the vipers could be a potential great team o yea and jus a tad bit more organization... if only them guys had a consistant coach.. but wat do i kno im only a spectator

Re: Official Prediction Thread For 8/27 Games- POST SCORES AND DETAILS HERE- NOT BELOW

Devon, I think we both know who LW is. He needs to chill out, focus on Sept 10, and show some humility. LW, please stop the BS.
