Re: 9-3 This Weekend in Indiana Semi Pro Football

Crossroads Guy,

I didn't think you were calling us out, sir. I just wanted to state the position of the team on this. We have really put a lot of thought into this situation and this was the best case scenerio for us. I hope everyone has a good and safe holiday and then we can get back to some football.

smart move on your part, i just hope it doesnt effect the race in the Indiana conference though, it would be shady if a team got in because an ohio team forfeited. in no way am i saying u should care about the other teams because u put urself in a comfortable enough position through the year, that u can afford a forfeit. It just seems like some sort of karma almost. but im a kicker (Warriors) so i believe in superstitions anyways. good luck in the playoffs.

Re: 9-3 This Weekend in Indiana Semi Pro Football

Ham4,
As it stands now, the Blitz (2-3-1)are only 1/2 game behind the Revolution (3-4) for the last spot, and only ONE game behind you, (Warriors 3-3-1) for the 3rd playoff spot. If you keep winning, it won't be an issue. From what it looks like, the Blitz aren't a threat to even step on a field.

Win and you're in.

Re: 9-3 This Weekend in Indiana Semi Pro Football

how was it not their fault? it was for the cards game

Re: 9-3 This Weekend in Indiana Semi Pro Football

Cards 8, if you're referring to my statement about that forfeit not being the Blitz's fault. It technically was no ones fault. The officials did not show up for the game vs the Stallions. Therefore the Stallions decided not to travel back to make up the game. Thus resulting in a forfeit by the Stallions. Blitz win 28-0. It's a shame it happened that way, but that's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose.

Re: 9-3 This Weekend in Indiana Semi Pro Football

why 28-0

is that what the CRFL gives for forfiets????

Re: 9-3 This Weekend in Indiana Semi Pro Football

A four years ago, the mfl had one team get home field advantage from a coin flip. That next year we installed a tie breaker based on point allowed hoping to not get to a coin flip again. The next year we had a team forfeit because they were going to play a game and loose big, and drop a playoff spot, so they decided to take a forfeit and only only lost by two points keeping their seating.

To prevent this from happening we voted to make forfeit count against a team on points allowed more then 2 to 0. We voted on 28 - 0 , an td and xp each quarter.

hence, the history behind 28-0.

Perfect, no. But an attempt to improve the league one step at a time.
