new league startup

I've seen a lot of teams without a home on here. So I've decided to try to organize all these teams together that want to switch leagues or get into a league. Why don't you all get together to form one of your own. Make it as big or small as you'd like.
For teams interested email at leaguefootball2006@yahoo.com
Your identities will be confidential as to not hurt your chances with other leagues. Through this central hub, we can coordinate and meet. We all have something in common, we want to play ball this year.

Re: new league startup

Hmmm, are you sure that your agenda doesn't stem from the fact that you are indeed looking for a home and as of yet can't find one?

Re: new league startup

well for all of us looking for a home, if we dont get into where we want why not start our own? thats all. you dont have to join an existing to play.

Re: new league startup

The last thing the Midwest needs is another semi-pro football league.
If your team can't get accepted into the IFL or MFL then you are not organized enough to even have a team.

Re: new league startup

Also, a first year team might have to be independant to build a reputation and get a good name out. Think of the teams that have bad names in the area. Whether rightly diserved or not. To be formerly affiliated with one of those teams means that you need to build trust with leagues again. It might hurt for a time, but the team will be better off for it.

Re: new league startup

I am curious to find out exactly which teams are looking for new homes. I have posted on this site as to how a team would apply to the MFL. I did hear from one or more teams that are intersted, and for the most part, they are new teams that want to play this year and want to have fun doing it.
If someone were to form another league in this area, I wish them luck as this is no easy task. I think Supa spelled that out already. I would not rule out playing a couple of non-league games against some of these teams.

By the way, Everyone Congratulate Danny Z. on his upcoming wedding. Dan, I am SOOOO crashing that thing! Good Luck!

Re: new league startup

Wolf, that's fine with me if you want to crash it. I will only know about 8 people there because her family makes up 98% of the guest list, so it will be good to see a familiar face. You know how big those country/farmer families can get up there in Adams County. You are all related to everyone on your block (or "mile" as you call it up there).

By the way, I'm back with the Chargers in 2006 so I'll try not to hurt you this time when we play you

Re: new league startup

Congrats Dan Z....
I have been married for 17 years and have been with her for 20 plus.
Just remember its a 2 way street...you got to give to get.

Good luck....

Re: new league startup

Thanks Gambrel. And congratulations on being married for 17 years. That's awesome. We started our premarital counseling last night and it went great. I'm actually excited to go back next week.

Re: new league startup

Danz, Best of everything on your upcoming wedding. Remember that to make it work you have to put her first and hoefully she will do the same for you. I am in my 13th year and five kids later. Are you both Catholi by any chance?

Re: new league startup

No we're not catholic, just Bible-believing Christians. We don't associate ourselves with a particular religion.

Re: new league startup

What if I had the whole team crash this shindig? We could all wear our jerseys and stuff. We would tell the ushers that we are friends of the groom. That would help even the #'s a bit, don't you think? Dude, I'll even wear a tie with my jersey.
2 questions,
Who's holdin' the shot gun, and is she... ya know, carryin'? Just kiddin'
Oh, and Dan-O don't worry bout hurtin me this year, If you're playin Q.B. well...nuff said
