Any word on which team's made the IFL , just wondering??
The Classic City Crush where accepted into the IFL.
A team (sorry I forgot the name) from Southern Michigan area was also accepted.
They discussed some uniforimty with the officiating. Everyone wants that.
They also discussed a East and West type of division to suit the new teams for the league.
I am unsure what all was set in stone on the last two things. I am sure other things where discussed as well and I expect a full report when our fellas get home safe.
We just wanted to say that yes, we did decide to go after the MFL. We felt that it was a better fit for us. After talking with different people associated with both leagues, it was clear that the MFL would be better. We have the same beliefs and philosophies as the MFL. We wanted to be in a unified league.
We felt that even had we gone to the IFL meeting that we would not have been accepted. We still respect many figures of the IFL.
Interesting, I'm not sure which head the Dragon is speaking from here. The retraction email I received stated the folowing:
"First i want to thank you for the chance to join the IFL but as of this time the Indy Dragons are have a hard time finding O-LINEMEN and we want to keep the IFL at a even playing field and we think that we are not ready for the IFL this season, this is very disapointing for me to do, i LOVE the IFL and RESPECT the players and coaches and league board memebers. At this time we are take our selves out of the IFL meeting. I hope that next season we can be built up enough to compete in the IFL thank you for your time and good luck with this up coming season. Josh Terhune & Josh Gronberg, Indy Dragons"
You mention "even if we had we gone to the IFL meeting that we would not have been accepted." Actually, most board members I had spoken with were in favor of the Dragons being accepted. Good luck in the MFL, you're right, I think it will be a better fit for you guys.

WE FEEL THAT THE IFL MADE A GOOD MOVE BY PICKING THE TWO TEAMS THEY DID WE ALSO THING THE MFL MADE A GOOD MOVE BY PICKING THE TEAMS THEY DID.
WE ARE PLEASED TO SAY THAT AS OF TWO DAYS AGO WE GOT 4 O-LINEMEN AND A WR & RB.
WE WISH THE TEAMS IN THE IFL THE BEST OF LUCK AND HOPE THEY HAVE A GREAT SEASON.
AS FOR THE TEAMS IN THE MFL WE THANK YOU FOR LETTING US IN YOUR LEAGUE AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING MANY GREAT SEASONS WITH YOU.
WE HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THE IFL.
IT IS A GOOD LEAGUE THAT WILL ONLY GET BETTER.
WE FEEL THE SAME ABOUT THE MFL.
I HOPE NO ILL-WILL / WILL COME OF THIS FROM THE IFL OR MFL.
