Supa,
As soon as Earl makes the post on the MFL website:
http://midwestfootballleague.com
I will post it on SupaFan, since he will not post on SupaFan. Earl worked very hard for the league as well as all the teams, and I do not want to steal his Thunder. Since the Dragons posted all ready, I want to welcome the Dragons to the MFL brotherhood. I believe they well fit in well with the other organizations and will have a great season. They will find plenty of competetion in the MFL. I am very excited to start the season. I will give away one more team because I am very excited they are back in the MFL and I believe they will give the Dragons some good competetion in the South as well as the Wildcats and Chargers. The CI bears are back in the MFL, which is another great fit. It is great to have David Shabazz and the CI Bears back in the fold. I will let Earl announce the other three teams. Here is a little peak at the 2006 MFL.

Cool. Thanks.
undertaker,
try it now and see if it works. If it doesn't email me at scorpionsfootball@hotmail.com
I tried to post there once but they don't allow just anyone to post. So much for free speech!
The Truth,
Yes, you are correct. The MFL website is a league site, and reasonable and respectable posts are always welcomed. The site is admin. professionally, as it should be. E-mail the admin and he will allow you access if you have no issues. Potential sponsors, players, and teams use the site, so it needs to be respectable.
Freedom of speech we respect, BS is not,

What city do the West Central Wildcats play out of?

Matt-
you know that I have great respect for you and your organization, but I feel compelled to point out that I have been repeatedly denied access to that messageboard. Anyone who has been around here for any time at all knows that I do not traffic in bullshit or disrespectful talk. I do not engage in ad hominem attacks or make unwarranted accusations. I am under the impression that I have been denied access because folks have voiced opinions critical of the MFL on my messageboard- and that is not right.
I simply wish it wasn't so. There is a long archive of my posts below, all of which are absent disrespectful or unprofessional criticism. I understand the concerns raised, but I challenge anyone to bring forth evidence of my having stepped over any of the lines mentioned.
So from this point, and in the face of this horrible injustice- I am launching the "FREE SUPA" campaign to allow me access to the MFL messageboard. I do so so that I can more easily collect and disseminate information of interest to all of our readers and posters. What could be a more democratic enterprise that that?
FREE SUPA!!!!!!
FREE SUPA!!!!FREE SUPA!!!!!!FREE SUPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Supa,
Why try to create controversy where there is none? I believe that it was explained to you in the past that the reason that you were denied access to our website was one that has a VERY simple solution. To register for the MFL sight, you need to do so with your real name, and not an alias. I know that you and I have debated this before on this sight and I still can not understand why you insist on anonymity. What do you have to gain by keeping the people that post here in the dark. You obviously know who we are, as most of us use our names, or at least register with them. I realize that I have once again opened Pandora's Box, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Ohhh SNAP, Ill be exiting the back door now
He doesn't want to be in your club anyway.
SupaFan,
Had to address the post to me, thanks, Supa, lol.
You know the Scorps appreciate your site and you as well. As Wayne has posted this is not a new issue, so I will try to address the issue.
As for the comment you do not 'attack or make unwarranted accusations' is a little misleading statement. Lets remember back Supa. Wayne and I had to dig at you a little to get you to put up the Chargers logo. Interesting that it was the only MFL team not up, and the team happens to be lead by as you have posted the "Self Righteous Earl." Can you honestly say that your post towards Earl are not taunted or harsh when referring to Earl. Also remember the comments about the MFL League as a "charade" and a "loose confederation." If you were Earl you would probably take offense to those post knowing that he is trying to direct that organization. However, you say that you "do not traffic in bullshit or disrespectful talk." Please refer to your past post as the sources of those quotes.
You know Supa that I am not trying to disrespect you, but clearly your post can be respectably and intelligently debated, which is what your forum is truly about. However, the MFL forum is not that kind of forum. The MFL forum is for team and league business. All teams are supporting the site financially, and it would not make good business sense to allow disrespectful and insulting post that would hurt a team or the league. What team would spend money to do that?
However, I will bring it up to Earl and see for you Supa. Personally I would like to see your post as long as they are to "easily collect and disseminate information of interest to all of our readers and posters" as you have stated.
League rules state "if you want to post, using a nickname, you can, but you will register with the site using your real name."
I will try to FREE SUPA,
Scorpions #69
Long live Supa!!!!!!
No offense taken, gents. Reasoned criticism is what this place is for. You are ALWAYS welcomed to share your opinion here, even if I don't like it and even if I don't know your real name- so long as you do so respectfully.
Having said that, let me address the issues raised in order.
1. Alleged "mean talk": I never said that I had not been critical of individuals within the MFL (including its commissioner) or the state of the league itself, but that my criticisms were not out of line or unprofessional- and I stand by that position. First of all, all of my criticisms were rooted in carefully researched, well reasoned, and well supported information. Second, my criticisms of the MFL (as with my criticisms of any individual or group) are meant to shine a bright light on ways in which improvements can be made. In this respect, I am a firm believer that if one values something, one is obliged to challenge it to get better.
2. LogoGate: Whatever the perceptions might be of my having not put up one logo or another at a given time, I can promise you that it was not to slight the teams in question. The problem with the logo in question is that I had credible evidence that the team had folded, and was unable to gather an official position on this issue after REPEATED attempts to contact the team leadership. The only information I had was that the team was no longer in operation. Absent returned emails or the ability to post on the MFL messageboard, I was compelled to go with (as tricky Dick Cheney likes to say) "the best information we had at the time". After I got the information that the team was in fact competing, the logo was immediately replaced. This, to me, proves my point more than it does yours.
3. The posting regulation on the MFL board requiring a "real name": I am no enemy of some common parameters and limits. I ask that mine be respected, and absent any glaring injustice, I usually respect others' as well. Given that I have made the argument for the necessity of my anonymity so many times in the past here, I will spare you, dear reader, that indignity. It seems to me, however, that this particular rule might not so much apply to a person who is an administrator of an oft visited and well maintained messageboard - a person who is known to punctually and thoughtfully reply to emails and posts - a person whose motives are plain and never in question. Perhaps in the interest of the furtherance of the community as a whole, the administrator over there might consider making an exception just this once.
For what it is worth, I have respect for both Wayne and Matt- I consider both of you to be the reason the MFL has made the gains that it has. We are brothers insofar as we seek to lift this game up. Surely, you can bear some well intended criticism, can't you?
FREE SUPA!!!!!!
Supa,
You can use my name or Matt Steele's name. We have been accused enough of being you that is should pass as truth.
SupaFan,
Wayne did a great job last season. Earl did a great job as well, and Earl is an important part of the MFL organization. I might not agree with everthing Earl does, but I respect and know he is doing what he feels is best for the league. Earl as well as the other organizations are work hard. We have some devoleping teams, so I do expect some hick ups this season. Earl will be very busy in 2006, but it is a good kind of busy. Now players in Wabash, Peru, Indy, and the Bloomington area have a chance to play the game we all love. Earl was a part of helping that happen, and remember we would not have a Scorpions team if it was not for Mike with the help of Earl estblashing the Scorpions team in Grant County, so I and the Scorps organization are thankful for those two individuals.
I will do what I can.
Respectfully,
Scorpions #69
Fellas,
I'm not trying to disrespect anyone either. But I do have a question for you Supa, Why do you feel it is necessary to have membership and access to the MFL site? Is there something that you would rather not discuss on your own site? I'm sure that you have access to the IFL site, but for whatever reason don't seem to use it to voice any opinions.
I do love a good debate.
I'll be anxiously awaiting your thoughtful response.
Matt, this stuff really is fun, and I do understand why you felt it necessary to list the Scorp's first. Although I think you may be misguided in doing so. One too many shots to the noggin?
Matt,
You should just go ahead and give me that jersey being that I was in your offensive backfield as much as your running backs were. Well that and the fact that you have 6 number 69's on the field during any given play.
Maybe it was ME that took too many head shots.
Damn it, I gotta go, the voices are talkin to me again and they won't shut up!
Big Wayne-
My desire to have access to the MFL messageboard is 100% about having the ability to collect and distribute information to and from posters and readers that may not come over here. Though rare, I have done the same on the MFL and OVFL messageboards in the past.
My motives have always been pretty open- and can one really argue that LESS information is better? The bottom line is that by virtue of my connections and access to other places, I am able to offer valuable information that is not otherwise available. And notwithstanding present posters, dissemination of information (at least between member organizations and the outside world) is clearly not the strong suit of the MFL.
As I have said many times before, I get 4 or 5 emails a season from players on MFL teams who contact me wanting to know what's going on because their team and league leadership has not shared or does not know a given piece of information. All I want to do is bridge that gap.
While I can only hope that is a reasonable enough answer, I can promise you that it is genuine.
I say free supa also, this guy will be in the semi pro football hall of fame one day do not knock him down for free expression at any sense, if the continue to mess with u supa I got your back, and we can roll em up
Supa, what information could posters on the MFL board possibly not live without from this board?
I'll be sure to personally keep the MFL board updated with any important news from this bravenet forum. So now you can rest easy. Whew!
