Hardin County (KY) Looking to possibly fill five dates
If possible, the Hardin County Wolverines (Elizabethtown-Radcliff-Fort Knox, KY) are looking to fill the following dates on their schedule for the 2006 summer-fall season:
- May 20
- June 17
- July 1
- September 2
- September 9
- September 16
The Wolverines are located 40 miles directly south of Louisville on I-65. They would prefer to stay at home (considering they have regular-season trips to Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia), but are willing to travel depending on the distance.
The Wolverines, fourth-year members of the Ohio Valley Football League, feature coverage from one daily newspaper, two weekly newspapers and one cable-access television station that shows games multiple times per week on cable access.
They usually host a postgame party at a local restaurant with the opposing team.
The team is ran by a pastor and is getting to play at the University of Louisville's Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in late May as part of a fund-raiser.
The Wolverines are usually a pretty solid team, as they went 9-4 in 2005 (losing to the nationally ranked Hoosier Hurricanes in the OVFL's AFC championship game), 12-1-1 in 2004 (winning the OVFL's Super Bowl) and going 9-5 in 2003 (first year of existence).
