Hello to ALL who are NEWBIES to AIMEE'S site in MAY 2007!
Please add your name and state on this thread and anything else about yourself as a review if you have posted before or to meet you if you have never posted.
Give yourselves a hand for finding and staying here the 'right' place!
This is a great forum community with much strength from people who are on program to loose weight at different junctions:
First timer/beginner to WW, return to WW, approaching maintenance and those on maintenance.
Some have a few pounds to loose, others many pounds to get to goal. But we all have this site and getting to goal in common.
Hi Jeancat, I'm Laura from Michigan. I posted a message today for the first time. Been off and on WW for years, and here I go again. When at first you don't succeed, try, try again. It's good to have this support system online. Thanks for all the info you provide us. It's been interesting reading your posts.
Laura
Hello...I am Karen from Ohio-actually right up the road from where Aimee lives! I am a lifetime member that has returned many, many times. I have lost 15.5 lbs so far this time. My daughter is getting married this fall which is my biggest motivation.
I REALLY look forward to checking in each evening to see what has been posted here! You all are awesome! I learn from you, and that is saying a lot for someone that has sat thru as many WW meetings as I have!
I am happy to be part of the group!
Awesome! Do you actually know AIMEE personally?
With that much WW experience I/we all need to learn from you! So I hope you will start posting more often!
Yes I learn from everyone here. And I learn from posting too! Networking has been a very valuable tool.
No, I don't know Aimee personally. I really enjoy reading about places she goes..'cause I know those places! I do shop at the same stores that she does-Trader Joe's and the new Super Walmart..so maybe I will run into her sometime. (Hi Aimee!)
May I ask you a question? Are you a cat lover? ..thus the name Jean Cat?? I am..I raise Bengal cats...expecting a litter today as a matter of fact.
OH MY GOSH! Do I LOVE CATS! YES!
Everyone who knows me, knows of my love for them! My two sites that I own and operate are for teachers and students of pharmacology. My mascot is a cat in a library. A real photo of an older kitten sitting at a desk in a study with a glass green lamp! Very cute!
Bengals, real tigers? Wow! or domesticated type of cat named bengal?
I had a lynx for about 1 .5 yrs. He died of a congenital heart condition. But he was my pride and joy.
I now have a black and white medium hair. He is nicknamed the $2000 cat. A very long story on this cat. If you would like to exhange cat stories feel free to email me at rxjm2002@yahoo.com Just put the name 'AIMEE' in the subject otherwise I may think it is spam and delete it.
My real first name is Jeanetta.
I do hope that you and AIMEE can meet up! Wouldn't it be funny if you actually have seen each other before in the market or meetings!
Hi Everyone and welcome to aimee's message board... Karen, maybe we will also run into each other.. I live about 5 miles north of downtown dayton...I also shop at Trader Joes...but at the walmarts at our end of town. I go to Costco in Cinn. often...If you didn't already know...I'm aimee's mom..... Again welcome to all of you...
Good day everyone. My name is Melinda and I live in Michigan by the Blue Water Bridges to Canada. I have been looking at Aimees site for a long time and I have even purchased her 2 cookbooks (love them) I just recently joined WW at home being a former WW member and having attended the meetings I choose this time to try it without the meetings. I never felt that the format was geared enough towards weight loss. Unfortunately I think it is not typical of most WW weight loss centers. I also get all kinds of information and encourage from everyone here. Thanks to all of you what a wonderful gift this is.
Hello everyone!
My name is Jill. I live in Georgia, about 50 miles southwest of Atlanta. I am the mother of three children (Jesse, 16, Miranda 15, and Justin 13). I am also in the process of gaining custody of my 2 and 4 year old nephew and neice. I joined WW the first time 3 years ago and lost 55 pounds. I reached my goal weight and promptly quit going to meetings. I kept my weight off about two years without meetings, but then along came some of the stressful parts of life and I began gaining weight. I am not sure how much weight I've gained, but I know that I've gone up a pants size which is not a good thing. I am actually going back to WW meeting today at 12:00 so I'll know then exactly how much I've gained that I have to lose AGAIN! I love this message board and I plan to rely on it for my daily support! Thanks for the welcome Jeancat!
Hi Jill
Yup you belong here with the rest of us, how your writing sure identifies with myself, been there and done it, and doing it AGAIN.
You found a great site, to hang around in during the day, getting new ideas and many of the old ideas, and the best part is the accountability to one another.THis is a sweel group of women, and I can't forget Ben, hes our MAN... LOL...
So stick around, and yes go back to WW, and then take it all thats going on in your life One day at a time
(odaat)
Oh gosh, they all have been very good. I would have to say that the Monteray Chicken was a hit as well as the Mexican Lasagna. I haven't tried any of the desserts because they might get me in big trouble with the portion control but eventually I'll get there. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for sharing your favorites.
I do not get much of a chance to cook any more.
But I would love to try more of her recipes.
Will give the monterey a try if I can substitute veggie cheese if it has cheese in it. I love cheese but can not have it do to high cholesterol and triglycerides.
