Snow Peas! Raw and Oh So SWEET!

Also Cooked with whole mushrooms and some ginger and ICBINB spray! Yum!

I would also add some Soy Sauce, but I have to watch my sodium! I save that when eating sushi!

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

A Recipe I have found on the net and plan to try someday.... :)

No Sugar Fudge (Diabetic)
http://www.chitterlings.com/blog/archives/2005/11/no_sugar_fudge.html

No Sugar Fudge
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. artificial liquid sweetener
(use more if desired)
1 pkg. vanilla or chocolate
artificially sweetened pudding
powder or 8 tsp. finely chopped
nuts
“Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over boiling water. Add evaporated milk and mix. Cook for 2 or 3 minutes, then add vanilla and artificial sweetener. Spread on small foil pie pan or plate. Chill. Cut into 8 pieces. Form into egg-shaped balls and then roll lightly in pudding powder or chopped nuts.”

Hope this helps someone out there! If you try it let me know!

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

I have seen a photo of a chicken bake in every ladies magazine that has recipes in it. It is a campells' soupd recipe. But it always has white rice which takes less fluid and time to cook. After searching for a brwon rice recipe this is what I came up with:

No sodium added Diabetic WW Friendly: Brown Rice and Chicken Bake
1/2 cup brown rice, raw (not instant rice)
1 can (14.5 ounces) fat-free, No or low-sodium chicken broth ( I used Trader Joe’s No Sodium No fat)
1 cup mushrooms, whole or sliced
6 (4 oz.) chicken breasts, skinless
½ cup onion
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 tsp onion powder (most onion powders have some sodium as a preservative, so be careful)
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley flakes
1/8 tsp black pepper ( if desired I omit it)
1/8 tsp paprika (for color)

In a large non stick casserole pan, combine rice, chicken broth, parsley flakes, minced garlic, all minus 2 Tbsp minced onion and mushrooms. Place chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle 2 tbsp minced onion, onion powder, garlic powder pepper and paprika on chicken. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

Hope this helps someone out there.

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

New Find that I will try as soon as I can find Blue Bunny at a Super Walmart, but first I have to find a SUPER Walmart in my area. This company makes a sugar and fat free (combination) ice cream.

Carrie posted this earlier about Klondike 100 cal ice cream bars.

But I would like to add that while I have posted a while back about Skinny cow Ice Cream Sandwiches, that they have a new product:

Skinny Cow Vanilla
Skinny Cow Chocolate
Skinny Cow Mint
Skinny Cow Cookies n Cream

And NOW

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Nice finds JeanCat, i tried so many things ( 100 calories, sugar-free- low fat) i cant remember what i did try.
I know i bought BlueBunny, and the klondikes, but cant remember if they were 100 calorie and/or sugar free.

If it says it on the label i usually buy them to try.

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Dear Akus,

Do you recall if you liked the Blue Bunny?
I just purchased some more of the non-dairy "So" Delicious" from Trader Joes. 90 cals each. On a stick in the shape of a Dove bar. They are GREAT ! so smooth and creamy and fudgy and chocolaty!

They also make a Orange Cream like a 50-50 bar. I have not tried that but it sounds soooooooo good.
Best yet no worry about lactose intolerance.

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Thanks, Jeancat....great list....

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Jean,
I just looked in my freezer and its Blue Bunny "light" 1/2 the fat, its only a one cup serving, 4 points. Honestly i bought it the first night after my first Weigh in at WW, and that was in March and it is still sitting in there.

I think You mentioned Blue Bunny- sugar.fat free,

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Killing two birds with one stone.... er posting once in response to two replies! Hee!

Uh! Um! You are Most Welcome Patty!

Now Akus, I could NEVER let something that yummy sit in my freezer! But I can see why the points just do not sound worth it!
YES what I saw on the site is FATA FREE AND SUGAR FREE COMBINATION Product that only has three flavors.
Vanilla, Chocolate and some type of caramel.

90cals 2fat 2 fiber!
Sooooo yummy!

So Delicious also comes in a regular ice cream round container.

I am having a second one as I type!

JeanCat

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Well I have to explain:
The 90 cals + 2 grams of Fat + 2 grams of Fiber are the stats for the So Delicious bars, not the Blue Bunny.

I just reread what I typed. Sorry if it was confusing!

Any way that makes two of these in one day. There are only 3 in a package. I will have the other one tomorrow. I have it in the freezer at work/school!

Let's see if it stays overnight!:)

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Normally I'd say "I'll be looking for the Blue Bunny stuff" but I've cut sweets and junk out of my eating plan for a little while. Thanks for the list though. :)

Re: JeanCat's Favorites Thread #9

Well AIMEE I have not had a chance to say this yet but I visited Fitday and the counter Boy are you/Kimmie right about Carbs!
