ooo, those inner thighs are tricky lil' devils. (especially since I think they're at least twice to size of reality in the mind of the person standing on them! )
That being said, walking is great for toning the inner thighs especially if you are trying to lose weight in addition to toning. Walking uphill outside (think stairs if your a city-chick like myself!) or on an inline on the treadmill will really shape them up fast. Lunges are great too, though I avoid them myself because I don't want to stress my knees
Stand with hands of hips or lean on a chair with two hands.
Swing the right leg IN FRONT of the left leg to the left then the the right (up and out) as far as you can.Do 10 reps
Repeat with other side.
As you get comfortable doing this add wts to the ankles.
the Swing to the side up and out is what works the inner thigh muscle as the over in front of the other leg is what works the outer thigh muscle.
I use to do this in a gym many years ago. Works great!
Knowing how to do something is not the same as taking ACTION.
So after I walk I do leg kicks aka Donkey kicks to the back. I also do the side swing kicks ( I don't know what they are called). I lean over my parked car and use the car instead of a chair.
I wish we could draw on here, so i can figure out JeanCat's swing! LOL( winks at JeanCat)
Jen, i just started one that is one of 5-6 different workouts that works on the legs & butt.
Its a lunge but You use a towel on the floor to slide your foot back and forth. You can use a paper plate on a carpet, but i find the towel on my tiled floor to work better. Just remember when You are doing the lunge to bend Your foot, your "toes" are basically the only thing on the towel. Lunge back as far as you can and slowly pull your foot up on the towel. You will feel this in the inner thigh.
