Thanks Akus..I will definitely look for the marinade..all of them have so much salt in them and since I take 3 BP pills, I really shouldn't have the regular ones..

Thank you for thinking of ME and my MOTHER! ( or is that supposed to be mother and I?). YOu would think I would know. But recall I teach pharmacology not English!

YES in part it is my mom. And in part it is me!
My MOM is doing so well, she felt so great on Saturday that she wanted and begged to go to a local casino called "Pechanga" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we took her to the casino against my better judgement! We lost our assets ;)Had a great time, ate healthy and came home. We were gone only from 3 pm to 7 pm including travel and eating time! She did VERY well. So far no calls in the night from my sister that she regressed or has had an attack or is in ER.
I can not believe this. I am exhausted worrying and waiting for the shoe to drop!~ Yet I am counting my blessings.

I really don't know what has gotten into me. It took a little vacation from the site for a few days, didn't think you would miss me mid-week, I was too busy to get the topic of the week up, and still am as I have had deadlines on a professional publication that I am working on. In fact I was working on it when I came here to catch up! BoY did I NOT expect a SHOUT OUT to me!

So I thank you all. It really is not like me to stay away. I am slacking off on my veggies and my water, but I am still not binging and I am walking still.

Sooooooooooooooooo I need to get back into it much better. I think I am just doing the work-a-holic thing.....coupled with elation with my mom's renewed spirit and capability. My god, she was just in the hospital and then one week out she is pulling off the arms of one arm bandits.

Well my sister and I just could not refuse to take her it was like a 'last request'. My MOM'S exact words were: "this is the first day in weeks that I have not had a foot ache, an a-s-s ache or an toenail ache, let's go while I still can!"

I think I am still 'reflecting' on this time spent together and trying to come to terms IF I were to get the 'phone call'.

Thanks for asking, sorry to bore you, but I say if the fingers are writing it then it is meant to be said/posted.

I am so happy to know that your absence was due to good news! That is great that your mom wanted to get out and about over the weekend! I am sure you will cherish those memories.

I know how it is to be busy though. I feel like my head has been spinning since the week before school let out, well now that I think about it, since Zac broke that mirror on May 16 my head's been a spinnin'! LOL
