Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

I have been soooo bad this week. I have been hungry all week for some reason. I haven't splurged with fast food or anything but I have ate more than usual. I know that I have gained so my question is - do you feel as bad as I do after a gain? Am I just being a baby?!?!?!?!

Re: Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

Hi Scott, I feel the same way. I beat myself up something terrible. I weigh in today as well. I have been really good all week, but my scale just does not move and so then I feel like when I go tonight it will not move either. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I don't even usually even eat all of my points because I find such low point foods to have. At times, even though I just started up 3 weeks ago, if I don't see a loss it really bums me out. I am really trying to stay motivated and not get bummed out. Hang in there, and if the scale does not move today for us, well let's just pick ourselves back up and brush off and keep trying. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Re: Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

I'm with you Scott. When I have a gain it's a real bummer. Sometimes it makes me want to say I quit. I might as well eat what I want and how much I want because I can't even mess up at all or I'll have a gain. Then I settle myself down, and get back OP the next day, or week, LOL. This is a lifetime journey for me. Each day I can choose to stay OP or not to. We can't undo what we did, we just have to start over and do better the next day. This is a struggle for all of us. We will have good days and not go good days. Hang in there, you're not alone.

Re: Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

Scott, I know from my own person experience, if I don't drink enough water, eat enough protein and fiber that I'm think I can eat everything in the house..Try to up those things and see how it goes for you...good luck to all of you on weighing in...

Re: Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

I second the higher protein idea!! I just recommitted this week, and one change I made was to eat more protein. I used to not eat as much protein, and now I am sure to get 3 ounces at lunch and 3 ounces at dinner and that has made a world of difference. I seem to have less cravings and feel more satisfied. When I eat less protein, I often don't "feel" hungry, but have strong urges to eat, don't feel satisfied, and that leads to binging. Protein helps me with that. Hope that helps!

Re: Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

They can't stress enough in meetings to use all your points, if your on 20 or 25 per day use them all.

I know I use them and lose weight, you have to eat to burn it off, or else the body is going to store it, and think hey, I'm never getting fed again.

I've had a few gains along the way, but it always came off the next week and thensome.

In fact my leader just said to me on Tues when i weighed in, that our body will never be the same number week after week, thats even when we hit goal, up a little and down a little.

So Scott, just go get weight, don't skip or else that will get another cycle going, and the same mind set will stay with you next week. and in time you won't go back, so don't give up and throw away what you've already done........
take it a day and a meal at a time.....

Re: Weigh in tomorrow and dreading it

As i always say. tomorrow starts today.

We all at one time, ate more and gained when we weighed in. Tomorrow is today.

We all tried eating less points, hoping the result would result in a drop of numbers.

I ditto everything Tobe said.

We realize what works and what does not work.
