Has anyone on here had their gallbladder removed?We are waiting for the blood results for my 16 yr old daughter.It is her appendix or gallbladder.Dr thinks it sounds more like the gallbladder.CT scan next after bloodwork.Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My mom did 14 years ago and my farther in law last week. Both made a quick recovery. My farther in law has heart trouble and is in his 70's and did well.

I have mine out. They pretty much do it laprosopic (sp?) and I was back to work with in 3-4 day. Scars are very small and hardly noticable.

I had mine out awhile ago. I couldn't have it done with the laproscope because it was too infected, which means I had it the old fashioned way. I was in the hospital 5 days. It was not fun at all. Gallbladder problems can be very painful, at least mine was, but the doctor said mine was the most infected one he had ever seen .
