I need a recipe...

My step daughter wants me to make her a Better Than Sex Cake for her birthday (VERY fattening I know!) I know the ingredients but not the amounts for each ingredient. Does anyone have the recipe? I went to Food Network and did a Google search but couldn't find it. Thanks. I hope everyone has a great day!

Re: I need a recipe...

Becky,
I thought for sure I had the recipe but can't find it. I did google "Better Than Sex Cake" recipe and got lots of recipes. Be sure to use the " marks. Hope this helps.

I have it just a minute I have to find it

Re: I need a recipe...

Nevermind, sorry! I can't find it. They made it for my bridal shower when I got married (10 years ago) but I must have it packed away with my albums.

Re: I need a recipe...

Here is how I make it.

It is not weight watchers I do have a WW recipie if you will just let me know

1 box german chocolate cake-- make according to directions

after it cools just a little poke holes every 2 inches with a round spoon handle. Then pour 1 can of sweet and condensed milk in it (the small can) After that heat up a can of carmel topping and pour this in the holes after the sweet and condenced milk. Let this sit till cool I then top with cool whip and top that with heath bits.

Hope this helps!

Re: I need a recipe...

Thanks for your help! She didn't want me to "lighten" it up for her 17th birthday but I think I will make it again for a family get together and lighten it then. I was thinking I could make the cake with Diet Coke, use fat free sweetened condensed milk and fat free Cool Whip. I don't think there is a substitute for the caramel sauce and candy bars but at least I could shave a few calories off of this wonderful cake! I didn't know about putting the " around the name when doing a Google search. I'll remember that next time because when I put in the name of the cake it came of with many things that had NOTHING to do with cake!

Re: I need a recipe...

I found this one on another WW site--I knew I'd seen it awhile back but just couldn't remember which site. See what you think. I've not tried this one but does sound good.

Crust:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup pecans, chopped finely
1/2 cup margarine (I used Brummel & Brown spread because it's lower in fat)

Combine ingredients. I used two butter knives to cut in the margarine until the pieces were about 1/4 inch size. Press into 9 x 13 dish and bake for about 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Then let the crust part cool.

Cream cheese layer:
2 8 oz. packages fat free cream cheese
1/2 of large container fat free cool whip
sweetener to taste

I didn't really measure the sweetener..I used splenda..I just tasted it to find out it was about right, then added a little more sweetener. I think I used about 1/2 cup. After this is mixed well, spread onto cooled crust.

Pudding layer:
1 package sugar free chocolate pudding (4 serv. size)
1 package sugar free vanilla pudding (4 serv. size)
3 cups fat free skim milk

Mix together well and spread on top of cream cheese layer.

Then put a layer of fat free cool whip (the other half of the container) on top of everything else and you're done.

I made this for a couples' game group I'm in. Everyone loved it. Hope you do too!

Makes 12 servings at 4 pts. each.
