Exercise Accountability Post for the Week of 6-15-08

The purpose of this thread is to post your weekly exercise plans as well as to post daily what you have done to earn those Ap's.

Sunday - rest
Monday - 10 mile bike ride
Tuesday - 10 mile bike ride
Wednesday - walk
Thursday - 10 mile bike ride
Friday - walk
Saturday - 10 mile bike ride

I just hope to make my daily goal of walking the
neighborhood street twice a day. That would be a total
of three miles. It is hilly, so I have been told to
count two points for each mile and a half.

Saturday - Sunday - rest

I've done my 4 miles for today.

We rode 12.4 miles today instead of 10. Yay! Extra Ap's for lunch at Burger King.

1 hour walking in the deep end of the pool and then weight lifting circuit. Earned 4 AP

I managed to make that neighborhood walk once today.

10 mile bike ride today with Scott. It was only 60 degrees and I was so cold. I came home and put on my long underwear. LOL

2 1/2 mile walk today.
Uki, I know what you mean about the temp. I wore a light jacket and was glad to have it and my jeans on.

I was able to get in a 40 min. walk last night and boy it was cool! I had to go back for my jacket! Hope to get one in tonight as well.

I made that neighborhood round twice yesterday, but I
had no need for a jacket or long pants. We are defi-
nitely in the midst of summertime weather here.

Well, guess what I discovered this morning. The route I have been walking all along thinking I was walking 4 miles is actually 4.8 miles!! I had been told by a few people that I should be able to walk 15 minute miles to get a good workout. It was taking me much longer than 1 hr. to get in 4 miles. I kept trying and trying but couldn't hit it. So today my walking partner and I decided to drive it. It was actually 4.8.

Well, I have certainly gotten in my walking today,
even more than the three miles which is usually my
goal. Once I got started, I just kept walking. :) It
helps to have someone else walking along, too.

Just a 7.5 mile bike ride today. The weather was cold and I just wasn't in the mood for it today. I guess I am kind of out of sorts. Blech!

Uki, that is still really good! I got in a 4 mile walk this morning. The temps were in the 50's, but I warmed up pretty quickly once I got started walking.

Wasn't it a nice surprise Cheryle to find out how much more you are walking? You are all doing great.
I went to the gym and lifted weights and did a 45 min aerobics class in the water. Think I'll walk with DH tomorrow if its not raining. I guess I'm a fair weather walker. He walks no matter what the weather all year.

Yes, Pat, it was quite surprising. My DH is like yours. He is a runner and he runs no matter what the weather all year round. I know I won't be out there walking once the weather gets colder. I'll have to look for an alternative. I'm a wimp, I guess.

Right now my goal is to just walk everyday.My daughter and I walked a total of 6 miles today!I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow.I would be happy to get 1-3 miles in a day. P.S. What is a DH?I've read reference to someones DH,but don't know what it means.

3 mile walk today. Went with DH (dear, darling, d*mn-depending on my mood-husband) and neighbor. We were all talking and before I knew it we were 1 1/2 miles from home. I turned around and they kept walking for another mile or so. That is my longest walk this year. Guess I'll have to try the 3 1/2 mile block with them some morning.

Got my 4 mile walk in this morning. Saturday and Sunday are my rest days from walking. Will hit it again on Monday.

3 mile walk yesterday. Today 2 miles walked in the pool. Started to do the weights but there were so many people there that I decided to go back tomorrow.

I managed to work in that mile and a half today for a
30-minute walk this evening.
