In search of a website

I have been told that there is a website that figures WW points. You are suppose to put in the ingredients of your recipe or something like that and it figures the points. Have any of you ever heard of this? I have no idea if this is true, but would love to know what the website is if it is true.

Re: In search of a website

The only one I know of is on the actual WW website and you have to be a paying member to use it. :( I will be curious to see if anyone else comes up with something different.

Re: In search of a website

check out

caloriecount.com

there you'll be able to figure out your points.

Re: In search of a website

Cheryle, you are also able to have a free two-week
trial of the E-Tool program with WW. Ask your leader
at the next meeting, and she may have a form to give
you with a registration number. I understand you will
be required to give a credit card number, but that you
can cancel it after the two-week trial.

Re: In search of a website

I do the point counting at home with calorieking.com and an Excel spreadsheet, which I will attempt to explain here.

First I get the total value of the recipe for calories, fat and fiber from calorieking.com.

Then, on to Excel.
If you type in cells:
A1 "Calories"
B1 "Fat"
C1 "Fiber"
D1: "Points"

Then:
A2: # value of calories
B2: # value of fat
C2: # value of fiber
D2: copy and paste the following (inside the quotes)
"=A2/50+B2/12-(IF(C2>4,4,C2))/5"
The points should automatically be calculated in D2!

Example- if you ate something with 100 calories, 2g fat and 6g fiber, type in:
A2: 100
B2: 2
C2: 6
D2: automatically updates to 1.37

Good luck - hope this works for you (if you have MS Excel - and it is FREE!)
