new eh series plc

Dear Timothy Davis
May be supported Hitachi new series CPU(EHV)from Actwin?.Long time ago I send a message to Actron but not any answer about this matter.Did you know any talk for this problem.....

new series plc: EHV Series CPU

Dear Serdar,
Excellent Question!
In November 2006 Hitachi announced the release of a new series: the EHV. The EHV consists of four new processors. These new processors work in place of the standard EH-150 processors, and use the same rack, power supplies, and I/O as the EH-150.

We expect product to hit the shelves by the 2nd or 3rd quarter (2007).

These new processors bring a whole new dimension of capabilities to the EH-150 platform. Having Ethernet and USB ports on the CPU is nice, but the biggest enhancement (IMHO) is the ability to store 1MByte worth of "Comment Memory" (tag ID/label) in addition to the 512kByte program memory.

Oh yea, let us not forget to mention the 20nS Processing Speed.

The answer to your question, is "NO". ActWin will not support the EHV-Series CPUs. You will have to use what Hitachi is calling "Control Editor" software. Incidentally, this is currently what is delaying the release of the processors. Control Editor is currently only available in Japanese. As soon as it has been adapted for English, we should see the EHV hitting the streets (in Europe and North America).

At this point in time (subject to change), Actron/ActWin does not have plans to support the EHV.

Thank you for the question. I hope this answer helps!
