Hopefully the information presented here will help provide solutions to some of today's automation challenges. Some issues are probably old, some are probably new. Many are products of the economy, the resultant reduction in manpower, exacerbated by aging equipment crippled by decreases in maintenance budgets.  The ULTIMATE goal here is that we all become more successful in our careers and chosen professions.

      MAYBE THIS FORUM CAN HELP!!!

H200 Serial Pin-Out

Wiring diagram for the 15 pin D-shell female (sometimes referred to as D15S, or DS-15) communication port on a CPU-02H. Thank you.

Re: H200 Serial Pin-Out

Thank you for your question.

The pin-out for the cable is available on our FTP site. In the address bar of your browser, enter "ftp://anonymous%40lighthouseplcs.com@lighthouseplcs.com/" (or copy and paste this url). Once connected, click on the "pub" folder. Look for "ActCab-H2_L.PDF", and select it for download.

One thing to note, is the jumper between pin 8 and pin 14 on the PLC side.

The communications speed of the H-Series processor is determined in part by the cable. Note the “jumper” between pin 8 and pin 14 on the “PLC” side of the cable. When voltage from pin 14 (PV12) is applied to pin 8 (PHL) of the connector, the PLC processor is set to communicate at 19.2kbps. When PHL goes low (voltage from PV12 is removed), the communications speed of the PLC processor drops to 4800bps.
I hope this answers your question.

Re: H200 Serial Pin-Out

For our H200 Serial cable, the pin out details can be found by following our FTP site (ftp://anonymous%media.multispan@gmail.com). Once connected, navigate to "pub" folder and download "ActCab-H2_L.PDF".

Connect a jumper between pin 8 and pin 14 on the PLC side for maximum communication speed from H-Series processor. When pin 8 receives voltage from pin 14, communication speed increases to 19.2kbps; otherwise it drops down to 4800bps.

thanks and regards
