EM HIZAC

I HAVE MACHINE WITH HITACHI PLC OF FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION, MAKE EM, HIZAC. I NEED PLC LADDER DIAGRAM PRINT OUT FOR THIS PLC. PLEASE LET ME KNOW FROM WHERE TO ARRANGE THE SOFTWARE ?

Re: EM HIZAC - Software

The EM/EMII offered 3 different processors. The CPM-E and CPM-E2 did not provide an "on-board" serial port, whereas the CPM-E3 did. In addition to the (blue) programmer port on the face of the processor, the CPM-E3 provided a DB9F (serial) connector.
If your processor is a CPM-E or CPM-E2, you need a PGM-JR2 hand-held programmer to connect to your laptop. At first this sounds unusual, but the PGM-JR2 is a multi-funciton tool, that doubles as a "serial protocol converter". To select this mode, you change the DIP switch setting from hand-held programmer to serial I/Fand then connect a cable to a DB25F.
Now that you can connect to the CPM-E/CPM-E2 (via the PGM-JR2), or directly to the CPM-E3, we can discuss the software. The recommended software is called ActSip-E. Although ActSip-E is a DOS program, it runs perfectly fine in Windows®.

ActSip-E delivers very good documentation when reconfigured from the native A4 page size to 8 1/2 X 11". The printout can be tailored for LD (Ladder Diagram), IL (Instruction List), or a combination of both (side by side), which is very useful if you use the hand-held programmers. The success of this printout is dependent on your printers capabilties.

I/O Allocation and Cross-Reference are two other options which round out an excellent documentation presentation.
Pertinent project information can be incorporated into header or footer areas. These areas provide enough flexibility so that they are very useful to the End User as well as a System Integrator.

Hope this helps!
Timothy
