Re: Hitachi software for EM

SUKINI
Info Regarding PLC HITACHI Type EM please give quotation for software

Dear Sukini,
Thank you for visiting our website, and for your interest in Hitachi products.
The EM Series featured two processors: CPM-E and CPM-E2. The EMII series featured the CPM-E3 processor. The “E” and “E2” processors did not have a built-in serial port, whereas the “E3” did have a DB9 Serial port on its face (image attached), directly below the hand-held programmer port.

The processor you have more or less dictates which of the two available software packages you should use. For example, if you have the CPM-E or CPM-E2 processor, you first must attach the PGM-JR2 Universal Programmer (to the programming port on the processor). Then with the appropriate settings on the DIP switch, the unit switches “modes” from that of hand-held programmer, to (RS232) Serial Interface. The appropriate cable is then connected to a DB25 serial port, and to your laptop. The software used in this example, is called ActSip-E. It is DOS based, but runs well on XPPro.

If you have the CPM-E3 processor, the (PGM-JR2) interface is not necessary. Instead, you cable directly from the DB9/RS232 port on the processor, to your laptop. In this instance, the recommended software is called ActWin-E, and is obviously Windows® based.

Both software packages come complete with a printed manual, the appropriate cable, and the installation files on CD-R.

As this is a "tech" forum, please contact me directly for pricing and sales information.
