YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT ON THE MARK, AND MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP SOMEBODY OUT!!    

AND, IT COULD BE YOU THAT NEEDS HELP NEXT TIME. AFTER ALL...(REALLY?).. ARE WE NOT ALL "CHILDREN" - AT VARIOUS POINTS ON THE LEARNING CURVE OF TECHNOLOGY" ???  (I know I've still got a lot to learn and I've been at it for... well since 1970!)

Hopefully the information presented here will help provide solutions to some of today's automation challenges. Some issues are probably old, some are probably new. Many are products of the economy, the resultant reduction in manpower, exacerbated by aging equipment crippled by decreases in maintenance budgets.  The ULTIMATE goal here is that we all become more successful in our careers and chosen professions.

The cable for the COMM-2H is the same as for an H-Series processor serial port connection. For a PDF on the pin-out, click here.



The Switch settings on the COMM-2H are shown below.









The COMM-2H manual should be available from your local distributor for a nominal charge. The part number is NB997(X). If you can not find it locally, our sales department can help you with this item.

This is P.J Yang from SAMSUNG(SUZHOU CHINA) CO.,LTD. I have some trouble with hitachi plc.




I can not troubleshoot communication problems that I have with the communicating function module COMM-2H.




My machine is very old,there is not user guide about COMM-2H( HITACHI H series ).






Pls help me the following:




1)the figure shows 15-pin(COMM-2H) and 9-pin(COMPUTER) outputs for serial communication port




2)communication parameters setting (switch)






3)give me the user guide about COMM-2H





If you have any suggestions for improvement, please do not hesitate to tell me.
