Re: P-250E memory loss

Mr. Wijaya.

The battery to your P250E provides backup power for
program memory. It is required only when the machine
powered down for more than 10 minutes. If the battery
is drained and the power to PLC is off for more that 10
minutes you will lose your program.

The programmer unit you need is either a PGM-L or a PGME.
The PGM-L is easier the work with when manually uploading
a program because it has a LCD screen display of 7 lines
of ladder logic. However both units can be used with
a tape recorder if you have a tape of your software.

You have two options:

1. Contact the OEM and obtain a hard copy of the Ladder
Logic and manually punch in the logic.

2. Download a copy of the logic from you operating machine
and load this copy into your non-operating P250E unit.

Concerning all the LED lights turning on, this usually
indicates that the power to the unit is not properly
connected.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to contact me if you would like more detail.

Thomas K. Trower (Tom).
