Re: PRO-H

Mr. Saïd Khawand,
Thank you for visiting our website, and for your interest in Hitachi products.
Allow me address your concerns in the order presented.

1) Regardless of the medium (DOS software, Windows software, Hand-Held programmer), when a project gets uploaded into the processor, it is compiled into machine language. The project in memory does not bear any traces of what was used to create it. When the project is downloaded, your software (or hand-held) “de-compiles” it and translates it into what ever the software (or hand-held) requires for viewing.

If you are talking about the ability of PRO-H to translate a project file on a PC, that is a different issue. The only files that PRO-H can open, have one of three file extensions:
*.mwt (Project Files)
*.zwt (Zipped Files)
*.pwt (16 bit Project Files)
As long as your saved project has one of these file extensions, PRO-H should be able to open it.

2) I would be delighted to quote you price and availability. First, I must explain that the CPU-03Ha has been superseded by a newer version – named CPU2-03H, or H302 enhanced processor. As well as being able to perform all the functions of the H300, the H302 also has a real-time clock, and the capability to perform up to 64 PID loops (process control). So the H302 will work in place of your H300.
There is one catch. The memory module you are currently using, will not work in the newer version CPU. So if you currently have a RAM-16H memory cassette, you will need to upgrade to a RAM2-16H. The newer memory cassette (RAM2) will work in the older processors (CPU-03H, CPUP-03H, CPU-03Ha), but the older memory cassettes will not work in the newer (enhanced) CPU’s. The older cassettes (RAM & ROM) will physically not fit into the newer enhanced processors.

I mention the 16k RAM cassette, as it is the one most commonly used. Both of these items are normal stock items for Lighthouse PLCs, Inc., and are currently in stock.

3) Lastly, there is a Hitachi Inverter distributor in Lebanon, but there does not seems to be an Authorized Hitachi PLC distributor. Therefore, our distributor agreement would allow us to sell to you. As with all International customers, Hitachi requires that you provide a non-proliferation agreement (on your company’s letterhead stationery). If you prefer, here is a link for Authorized European Distributors.

I trust that I have answered the questions to your satisfaction. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have further questions or would like to get a formal quote.
Regards,
Timothy Davis
