Yes Khatib Lyles left Franklin high school to play his senior season at Parkland high school and yes he will be signing his letter of intent at Parkland high school but just so everyone knows he only received one Division 1 offer while enrolled at Parkland high school. Practically all of his offers came wearing a Franklin Cougars helmet and uniform and in Franklin Cougars team highlights. Just saying

I will always see Khatib Lyles as a Franklin Cougar even when he is playing for whichever team in college. Go Go Khatib!!!
Noticed that Khatib Lyles tagged EP Gridiron in almost every offer he received. Tagging EP Gridiron must have brought Khatib good luck or rather I say good fortune reason why he probably kept on tagging EP Gridiron. Props to Khatib Lyles on all his offers and hopefully we hear his name alot on Saturdays in the immediate future.
Not to be rude or ruffle anyone's feathers but why would Lyles leave 6A Franklin to play at small 5A Parkland?? Are his parents in the military? Westside > Northeast IMO (this coming from a guy who grew up in the Lower Valley and now lives on the east)
It just doesn't make sense to me unless his Parent(s) are in the military and wanted to move closer to Bliss. Anyhow, Parkland has had success in recent times but Franklin would easily be my decision for academics and athletics if I had to choose between the two.
In my opinion if Khatib would have stayed and played his final high school football season at Franklin he would have received alot of Division 1 offers from Power Five Conferences.
Same thing about Deion Hankins. Once he first received that Oklahoma state offer or that Arkansas offer he should have committed right then and there. UTEP commit???
The Ivy league does not give athletic scholarships. But depending on your household income you can attend for nothing or for cheaper than community
College. If you can get accepted, Ivy league sports has become a very viable option over the last few years. The Ivy league is becoming very competitive in many sports because they're using endowment money on athletes.
