I have been using my current forklift a mitsubishi fg25k for about 2 years on the road. Travelling around 150 yards to unload trucks and bring back goods into my premises
The road is registered with the DVLA and I paid £55 for this and pay £165 a year road tax and £150 a year insurance for the use
i'm led to believe that this is no longer required and I am entitled to have vehicle classed as a "works truck"?
well this forklift is currently up for sale and im going away from LPG and purchasing an old Linde 351 series diesel forklift with a Deutz engine for reliability and good cold weather starting
do i need to register new truck?
should I be paying £165 per year road tax?
You can get your forklift classified as a works truck if it meets certain criteria which are explained in this section of the website
