How to pay for goods and services when in "isolation" due to coronavirus.

Chris Archer has asked a question and would like to hear the comments of TMF Members:-
"I was going to get cash out to carry me through an extended isolation but I heard that cash was a means of conveying the virus. I am interested to know what TMF members propose to do about managing payments for goods and services".

FYI interesting, given that the virus attaches itself to Bacteria then read this https://steptohealth.com/bacteria-found-on-money/

I no longer use cash or notes, I use my credit card on "contactless", even when buying a newspaper, that way you are not touching anything that could be contaminated (apart from possibly the newspaper)!!

I also use contact less cards. Also they are so convenient. Well done Norman, another one joins the discussion

Hi extracted this from an article on Money, about the new polymer notes

The new notes will be more dirt-resistant than paper because they will be coated in a film so they can wiped clean, as well as being harder to fake because they contain features including a transparent window.
